Robert Parker
Tasted: 24/10/2014
Drink: 2017 - 2030

The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, the oldest vines planted back in 1929, has a crisp, slightly leafy bouquet with a light marine influence developing in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, crisp acidity and plenty of dark berry fruit toward the piquant finish. Don't overlook this offering from Jean-Marie Fourrier, because it ranks easily alongside his Premier Crus.
