Tasted single blind at FINE magazine's vertical in Dusseldorf. This is rather mushroom-y on the nose, the fruit intensity obscured by leathery, fungal, decayed aromas. The palate is simple, a little hard on the entry, rather hard tannins and lacking a little fresh towards the finish. This seems to be drying out and there is the first signs of volatility towards the finish. Tasted February 2011.
