Robert Parker
Tasted: 01/09/2007
Drink: 2009 - 2012

This '90 Pignan has developed a gorgeous, voluptuous bouquet, very rich, pure iodine tinged nose complemented by hints of wild mint, bilberry and wild hedgerow. Good definition. The palate is well balanced with good acidity, rustic with grainy tannins. Very gamey and animally towards the assertive, grippy finish. Great length. An untamed Pignan but utterly, utterly charming. Drink now-2012. Tasted September 2007.
