I enjoyed this Hosanna much more than other vintages when sampled out of barrel. It still has that typically modern nose full of hubris and ostentation. Very ripe blackberry and raspberry on the nose with good definition. The palate is still displaying a lot of unresolved new oak with black cherry, kirsch and liquorices although it falls down on the finish, not showing the requisite amount of delineation and poise to balance up all that extracted fruit. I expected much more after en primeur when I had so much (unfounded?) optimism...Drink 2011-2018. Tasted November 2008.
