The 1987 Certan de May is another delightful surprise from this vintage. One of the broadest-shouldered, most alcoholic, richest wines of the vintage, it boasts moderately intense, smoky, roasted herb and berry fruit aromas, and long, alcoholic, concentrated, yet lush, herbaceous, fruity flavors.
