Robert Parker

Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. A superb wine from Chateau Branon this year. It has a very attractive bouquet with leafy black fruit, singed leather and a touch of black olive. It comes across as very natural. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy entry, good depth of fruit with fine tannins, layers of liquorice-tinged black fruit on the finish. Recommended. Tasted January 2011.
