Robert Parker
Tasted: 01/10/2001
Drink: to 2008

This has improved since en primeur. Some green stalkiness on nose but good balance on the palate with firm tannins. Yet very elegant with fine complexity. Feminine with low acidity. Nice cassis-infused finish. On the palate this does not have the under-ripeness that mars many Left Bank wines. This is a commendable 1997. Tasted October 2001.
