This is a good Saint Emilion 2004, quite tight on the nose, rather earthy but good focus. The palate has a smooth oak still with some unresolved new oak, fine tannins though, surprisingly backward with good weight and notes of raspberry, cranberry and a hint of smoke and game on the finish. This has something to give in the near future. Drink 2011-2017. Tasted November 2008.
