Philippe Cuvelier purchased this estate from the Lurton’s in 2001 and the high standards practised by them have continued, especially with input from Stéphane Derenoncourt. There are 20 ha of vineyards planted to a mix of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%) and Cabernet Franc. The resulting wines have generally been big, full and sturdy, particularly during the last decade, which has seen a consistent raising of standards. The wine is densely extracted and sees a high proportion of new oak. Recent vintages have been refined and classy with great intensity. The property should continue to move towards greater things.
