"The 2016 Romanée-Saint-Vivant was picked on 27 and 28 September at 27 hectoliters per hectare. It has a heavenly bouquet, with scents of redcurrant, wild strawberry and ground limestone and subtle rose petal scents that are sensual and focused. The palate is defined by quite firm tannins that lend this real backbone. It feels quite saline in the mouth, with hints of black truffle and white pepper that decorate the finish that has pretensions toward a Richebourg in terms of structure. This is a pixelated Romanée-Saint-Vivant where you can almost sense its every atom."
