Christophe Delorme produces an extensive and impressive range of wines from his fully biodynamic domaine in Tavel. A total of over 55 ha spread across Lirac, Tavel and Châteauneuf-du-Pape yields an excellent range of wines. An impressive number of varieties are planted, particularly white. The Tavel is a benchmark wine, arguably the best of the appellation, and the various Reine des Bois cuvées are very refined and characterful and will improve in bottle for 5–10 years, the Châteauneuf certainly longer. A superb source of very well-priced wines, although some recent very high scores from a well-known American wine journal keep inflationery pressure on them. Indeed the limited production special cuvée Plume du Peintre is very pricey.
