The wines here under the current ownership are now very good. Around 80% of the production is red, with a mix of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot 10% Cabernet Franc and1% Petit Verdot. The white is dominated by Sauvignon Blanc but there is a sprinkling of Sémillon and more unusually Sauvignon Gris (similar in flavour to Sauvignon Blanc but with a slight pink tinge to its skin). The red is lighter in style than some of its neighbours but now possesses impressive depth. The white is fermented relatively cool to retain a marked floral, herbal core and is aged in 50% new oak. Neither wine is filtered and both have performed admirably since 1995, with some exceptional wines over the last decade.Whilst the reds have reached incredible heights in 2009, 2010 and 2015, with big price differences for the vintages, the whites have been perhaps more consistent in quality over the past 5 years. Ratings below relate to wines produced after the 2004 vintage.
