Excellent 32.5 ha property dominated by red vine plantings and like Haut-Brion engulfed by the suburbs of Bordeaux. The white varieties account for a mere 2.5 ha with 10% of this being Muscadelle. Both wines are very rich and powerful and the red has real density and grip but remains approachable and harmonious. Best vintages are 2010, 09, 08, 05, 04, 01, 00 and 1996. 2015 looks promising, too. The tiny production of white has an elegant, intense mineral and citrus streak adding to its complexity and all nicely supported by sufficient creamy new oak. Generally very good throughout the 1990s and particularly after 1995 and it has not lost any of its lustre since with 2007, 2011 and 2013 being the best of the recent vintages.
